About Us

The Respiratory Care department at Sacred Heart Hospital provides comprehensive pulmonary services to inpatients and outpatients of all age groups. We're a dynamic and growing department that has doubled in size in the last four years.

We treat a broad spectrum of breathing problems caused by injury or illness, including asthma, emphysema and cardiac disease. We also treat patients with bacterial and viral infections, neurological problems and patients who develop complications or respiratory failure secondary to another diagnosis or surgery.

Our department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We have 26 registered respiratory therapists on staff and conduct nearly 100,000 treatments annually.
