We're the only hospital in the region to offer high-definition Dual Source CT capabilties to detect cancers, cardiovascular disease, infectious diseases, trauma and musculoskeletal disorders

The American College of Radiology has accredited our ultrasound and MRI machines and mammogram program, and our mammography services also are certified by the Mammography Quality Standards Act.

On March 31, 2009, Sacred Heart Hospital hosted the Clinical Education Institute 2009 Symposium. The symposium targeted primary care practitioners and focused on vascular disease. Presenters included Dr. William Cayley, Dr. Peter Hanson, Dr. David Olson, Dr. Phillip Porter, Dr. Anton Sharapov, and Dr. Jacques Tham.

Sacred Heart Hospital’s Center for Imaging brings 21^st century medicine close to home. We offer some of the most sophisticated technologies in the world.

We are the only hospital in the region to offer the Dual Source CT scanner. Because Dual Source CT scans allow physicians to see the inside of the body so precisely, many diseases can be diagnosed with accuracy in their beginning stages when treatment is the most successful. The Dual Source CT offers hope and saves lives.

We also are the only hospital in the region to offer the 3.0 Tesla high-definition magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which boasts the highest possible resolution, fast scanning times and other high-level applications.

We also offer Full-Field Digital Mammography, which enables physicians to perform an exam in half of the time. This technology is the latest advancement in breast imaging.

We also offer western Wisconsin’s only use of the life-saving MERCI Retrieval System. In emergency stroke cases, this technology provides hope when the window of opportunity for conventional drug therapy intervention has closed.
