Sacred Heart Hospital is the first in Wisconsin and the first hospital ever of its size to have both a BrainSUITE^® with IMRIS intra-operative MRI (iMRI), and BrainSUITE intra-operative CT (iCT) smart operating suites for neurosurgery, spine and trauma patients.

Sacred Heart Hospital is one of only six hospitals in the U.S. to offer BrainSUITE^® and IMRIS iMRI technology. Sacred Heart Hospital is also the first hospital in the country to offer BrainSUITE and IMRIS iMRI and iCT technology for both surgery and diagnostics.

Kamal Thapar, MD, receives Red Cross Real Heroes Award
Earlier this year, Kamal Thapar, MD, was recently awarded a Red Cross Real Heroes award by the Chippewa Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross. Dr. Thapar was selected in the category of "Health Care Hero" for his extraordinary and courageous acts of care and kindness to save the life of a young South Korean student, Haesung Won, who collapsed with a deadly blood clot in her brain.
