About Us

Sacred Heart Hospital’s Behavioral Health Center is an acute inpatient psychiatric program that provides comprehensive short-term inpatient psychiatric services for children and adolescents (ages 8 through 17), adults and geriatric patients. We serve individuals experiencing acute psychiatric conditions that require an inpatient level of care.

We offer in-depth evaluation and treatment of the broad range of psychiatric disorders, and we are recognized for our commitment to coordinating all patient care through a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers and case managers.

Recently renovated, our facility is a modern, comfortable environment for both patients and families. Most importantly, our treatment program is structured to maintain the safety, dignity and confidentiality of every patient we serve.

An admission assessment is completed upon arrival to our department. Ongoing assessments, intervention and planning are provided throughout hospitalization by our interdisciplinary team.

Additional aspects of care include alcohol and drug assessment, individual and family intervention and referral and alcohol and drug education.
