About Us

Sacred Heart Hospital volunteers are integral members of our hospital’s healthcare team. Our volunteers are men, women, college students and teens over 14 years of age. They are interested in maintaining high quality patient care and are active in performing a variety of functions throughout the hospital. Our volunteers enjoy a sense of being needed, and at the same time receive personal satisfaction from giving their time and talents.

Currently, more than 300 active volunteers are working at our hospital. Whether giving a simple smile and a warm welcome as you enter our doors or assisting a family whose loved one is ill, our volunteers play a very important role in our hospital. Our volunteers’ excellent customer service, friendly hospitality and positive interactions make our patients’ stays memorable.

Volunteers breathe life into our hospital’s Mission. Their many hours of service ensure that the Hospital Sisters’ Mission will continue for generations to come.
