Smart OR™ - A Revolution in Neurosurgery is Here
Sacred Heart Hospital is opening a revolutionary Smart OR™ surgical suite for brain surgery. Sacred Heart is the first in Wisconsin and the first ever of its size to have both a BrainSUITE® with IMRIS iMRI (intra-operative MRI), and BrainSUITE® iCT (intra-operative CT) smart operating suites for neurosurgery, spine and trauma patients. The hospital is also 1 of only 17 in the world to have this unique technology configuration for patients.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an imaging technique that enables surgeons to precisely locate the area targeted for surgery. With the new iMRI “Smart OR,” Sacred Heart Hospital surgeons can access real-time images of their progress during complex brain surgery to assure that a brain tumor has been removed, while the patient is still on the operating table. This technology will give surgeons even greater precision and accuracy and will significantly reduce the need for follow-up surgery.

da Vinci® Surgical System Campaign
Sacred Heart Hospital is the first hospital in the Chippewa Valley region to bring the da Vinci® Surgical System to patients.
Our talented surgeons have performed more than 150 surgeries using the da Vinci® surgical system since the system’s arrival at Sacred Heart Hospital in December 2006.
This system is the most dramatic advance in minimally invasive surgeries—and Sacred Heart’s urologists are the most experienced in western Wisconsin at putting its talents to work.
The da Vinci® Surgical System, in the hands of our talented surgeons, brings hope and healing to prostate cancer patients. The surgical techniques offered through this system are highly effective, yet gentle around those most delicate of tissues.

Symphony of Care Campaign
Those who are involved in caring for our patients will agree that it takes an entire team of highly trained professionals - each playing their part - to deliver the best medical treatment to help and heal those we serve. This was the inspiration for the "Symphony of Care" advertising campaign. Just as each instrument in an orchestra contributes sounds and tones to create beautiful music, each program and service in our cardiac continuum offers high quality care (and caring) for our patients.

The Hope Campaign
The doors to Sacred Heart Hospital are adorned with a quote by Mother Teresa: “There is hope here.” Our inspiration for this campaign came directly from those words. As Father Edmund Klimek says in one of our TV commercials, “Hope is what makes this place so special. It’s a part of us. And you’ll find it in every person who cares for you.” It’s easy to talk about hope. But we believe we have captured something unique in these ads by actually showing our patients the difference that hope can make in their healthcare.
