Our Affiliations
Sacred Heart Hospital is sponsored by the Hospital Sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis, an international, multicultural congregation with Provinces and Regions that include Germany, Poland, USA (based in Springfield, Illinois), Japan and India. The congregation is committed to live the Gospel in the spirit of St. Francis and is dedicated to the common mission of bringing Christ's healing presence to humanity and responding to sick, poor and needy people. The Sisters are a witness to their Franciscan spirituality through a concern for the integrity of all creation and by efforts to live and promote peace, justice and respect for the dignity of all human life.
Sacred Heart Hospital is an affiliate of the Hospital Sisters Health System, a 14-hospital system headquartered in Springfield, Illinois. Our hospital is also sponsored by the American Province of the Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis.
We are affiliated with Marshfield Clinic, an organization of more than 730 physicians in 80 medical specialties and subspecialties located in more than 40 centers throughout northern, central and western Wisconsin. Sacred Heart Hospital also maintains an affiliation with OakLeaf Medical Network, a physician-directed, patient-centered health services network that provides care in small, personalized settings throughout communities in northwestern Wisconsin. This network includes more than 150 medical professionals in 41 participating physician offices and clinics. Physicians from both organizations regularly admit patients to Sacred Heart Hospital.
Sacred Heart Hospital also contracts with Medical X-ray Consultants of Eau Claire, Infinity HealthCare and Pathology Service Corporation, whose physicians provide services to those patients who come to our hospital for care.
We are a member of the American Hospital Association, the Wisconsin Hospital Association, The Catholic Health Association of the United States and The Catholic Health Association of Wisconsin.
